Saving project is corrupting file

I have just recently encountered an error in Captivate 9 the other day where I will save a project and the save process will get stuck at 50%, compressing the file, and then pop an error up saying it could not zip the file and then when I try to reopen the project, it becomes corrupted and I either have to recover it from the cache or restart the entire project.

The only time this error does not happen is when I save projects directly to the desktop. Is there some setting I have that is causing this error to happen when I am saving?

Do not save directly to an usb- drive. As for 'my documents', they may be pointing to a networked drive, you'll have to check.

Are you perhaps saving to a networked drive? Captivate doesn't like networked drives.

I was saving it to a USB drive actually. The error also occurred when I tried to save it to my documents.
