Question

Scale and scale to effect in CP

Is there some sort of logic as to how these effects are supposed to work? There's nothing in the Captivate documentation about how to apply them. The "industry standard" approach would be to add keyframes along the timeline. Captivate apparently uses some different, novel model of its own. Just what that model may be is undisclosed in any Captivate documentation I have found.

    Hello,

Effects are available in XML-format. And the help, is as usual, not very clarifying. Did you get the descriptive list with effects? http://lilybiri.posterous.com/list-with-effects-in-captivate-555-thanks-col

You can apply effects by advanced actions, but that work flow has a lot of limitations; I always create custom effects if I want to use them in advanced actions because you cannot define the parameters.

It's just an idle thought I know, but I sometimes wonder if Adobe might do better using its employees' time to improve the user interface and/or documentation for its products rather than sending out the endless stream of marketing emails that they generate.
