Question

SCORM 1.2 integration with SAP LS

I have some Captivate content that I have published as SCORM 1.2 and it launches and completes fine. However, the progress in LS shows complete right away. I have this issue with other content and the solution generically is to send a message at the beginning of the content to LS indicating status is "incomplete".

In looking for how to do this, I thought that setting the Launch Data at the SCO level in the Manifest might do it. But I haven't seen any examples of the format that would be appropriate for the Launch Data. Is there some information available to help guid that? Just setting incomplete there didn't work. Thanks!

Hi SAPLSman and welcome to the forums!

Captivate reports "complete" as soon as the user completes the last tracked interaction, so the common solution is to put a tracked "Click to continue" button on the last slide of your project and give it a score of 0 (so as not to throw off your overall scoring).

FYI - If you haven't used it yet, the Advanced Interaction dialog is a great way to manage which of your objects are being tracked/scored and which are not.

If the button doesn't fix the problem, you may have one of the LMS products that don't play well with Captivate's default behavior of sending a result after every interaction. If so, then you might want to take a look at the solution offered in this thread:

The file linked at the end of the thread has also been noted as a workaround to solve the issue of the content reporting as complete too soon.
