screen freeze when retaking quiz

Hi Adobe Community,

 

I created a module using Adobe Captivate and this module has a pass/fail test. The students cannot earn their certificate if they do not pass the test, but they are able to retake the test as many times.

One student is having an issue where she retook the quiz, it said pass then all of a sudden it said retake and when she wanted to retake it, the question screen would freeze and wouldn't allow her to choose an answer or click submit. The multiple choice buttons don't work or the submit button.

 

Any idea of how to fix this?

    You are talking about 'one' student, may I suppose that it is not happening for other students?

    Is the score slide the last slide in the project? If yes, please make sure to add at least one slide after that score slide. It is possible that this learner is on a slow connection, and the results were not transmitted to the LMS. If the answers are frozen, it means that the first attempt is not terminated. Only when clicking Retake button all question slides will be reset.

    So far this issue is with one student.
    The score slide is the second last page, if the students pass the test then they would see the score slide and then be able to proceed to the certification slide which is the last slide. If the student does not pass then the students have to click on the retake button.


    The module is housed on a website and a tech support employee from the website logged into the module as that student and noticed that the student was indeed frozen on one of the question pages and none of the multiple-choice buttons worked or the submit button. 
    Would it be because the first attempt wasn't terminated, as you mentioned? Is there something in the settings that I might have missed?

    Freezed question slides are typical when navigating back to such a slide during an attempt. Whenever a learner leaves a quiz slide, it is impossible to return and re-introduce an answer unless the Submit All feature is activated. I don't think that is the case here.

    I just tried to identify the symptom. It bothers me that it is only happening for one student. If it could be possible to upload to SCORM Cloud and invite that student to test it there? Another possibility is that the learner has caused the problem. Was it possibile to reproduce the situation?
