Question

Screen recording from within Adobe

Is there any plan to offer Captivate as part of the paid Creative Cloud All Apps package.  I understand that Captivate is much more than just a simple screen recorder but this is available on so many free/open source programs. I would think that it would be used a considerable amount from within Creative Cloud while using Adobe products.

I agree with Rod. More reasons besides the money: the most recent version of Captivate has lost all collaboration workflows with other Adobe applications, and after many years of pleading CP still has no access to the CC Libraries. That access existed for the iPad app (Draft) which appeared almost 10 years ago, but never made it to the desktop application.

I often heard the answer on that question: eLearning is a completely different department in Adobe. Captivate is not the only application outside of CC: that is also the case for Framemaker (best desktop publisher for long documents, better than ID) and RoboHelp to mention some. Although Acrobat is not really part of the CC (not creative?) it is stil included. Weird!

I very much doubt it.  Most of us would LIKE to see this happen and this question has been raised many many times over the life of Captivate.

But Adobe has never displayed any interest in bundling Captivate with Creative Cloud.

The reason has always been cited as: "Captivate is not a creative application."   That makes no sense to me either.
