Screwy Captivate Quiz issue

Hi, I'm working on a prototype Capt 3 project. There is a short 4 question quiz. The scoring says there's 37 questions! (This is NOT the # of slides - there are fewer slides in the project). Seems "way out there"...!

I can email the source file (3mb) to someone to look at. It's a small project that should be able to be diagnosed quickly.

I'm overdue on a deadline but my client knows that "I'm working on it as fast as I can". If you send an email to rbavis@hotmail.com I will send the file to you.

Thanks for your time and expertise - in advance!!

Bob Bavis

In general, Capt. quiz functionality always seems (to me) to have some "issues"- of course it COULD just be me and my "issues:)

In the meantime, checking the Project > Advanced Interaction dialog may
help you determine what's going on...

Hi Bob (and Erik - good call, first place I looked)

If you open the cp file and select Project/Advanced Interactions, you will see that you have numerous buttons set to have the “answer tracked”, this means that they are included in the quiz results as required interaction points. I do not know if you are aware of this, but all buttons, click boxes and text entry boxes can also be set as “quiz” answers and have the scoring tracked on them. Based on your post, you only want the 4 question slides tracked, so I would suggest deselecting all other interaction points and that should sort your problem out. A second point to bear in mind is that in all Captivate question slides is that you either get full marks or nothing e.g. if you have a Multiple Choice of 10 possible answers of which 5 are correct and the user gets 4 out of the 5 then he/she gets ZERO points and the reason I mention all this is that if you grade the question as worth 10 points in the example, then Captivate does not allocate 2 points per correct answer.
