Scrolling Widget not showing scroll bar and only appears once

Hello:

My design team is collectively working on a large group of eLearnings.  We tried to keep them all consistent.  Our most experience captivate designer enabled a scrolling text widget for us to use in place of the closed captioning option in Captivate.  Had a lot to do with how it would display on our template. Anyway, it works by clicking a smartshape set over a CC image,  Click once and the text appears, click a second time and it hides it.  That part works while you are on the current slide, but when navigate to the next or previous slide and then come back the action does not work anymore.  I checked the smartshape action it is infinite attempts.  I will admit that I am a storyline developer and not as versed in captivate.  Is there a setting in captivate that triggers what happens when you revisit a slide?  In storyline you can save the state or reset it to the initial state.  Is there such a slide setting in captivate?

Which version are you using, please?

I'm asking this because the first release of CP2017 has a bug, where a custom CC toggle button is not working. I have a hotfix, but would have expected a global patch to be released by now, which is still not the case.

Just another tip: a toggle button can be perfectly created with one object instead of a combination of a shape button and an image. Have a look at:

Hi:  I am using 2017 and my team members are using version 9.  The widget was created in 9

Scrolling text interaction is available in Captivate, not created I suspect.

Do your colleagues with CP9 have the same problem as you have with the CC toggle button? That problem didn't exist in CP9, the article for which I sent a link was created in CPç and you'll see that the CC button worked perfectly.
