SCROM Files Created During Publish

Hi, Everyone!

Even though I've developed in Captivate versions 1 & 3 for couple of years, this is my first attempt to publish SCORM projects.

Here is the issue - I have published 6 projects as lessons for the same course. They contain Captivate links between the projects so they make up a single course. When I set up the options to create SCORM files and publish each project, there are six sets of what appear to be the same files (one set for each published lesson). The question - are these files indeed identical? Will one set work for all 6 projects when uploading to the LMS? I've printed the contents of the adlcp_rootv1p2.xsd file for some of the projects and I can't see any difference in the contents.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Linking between lessons is a trick. Your LMS must support 'sequencing'
(SCORM 2004) in order to handle this. Generally, an LMS will treat a
lesson as one trackable item, so this sequencing support is required for
it to know how to adjust tracking when a new lesson is launched.

I think that should explain why each lesson has duplicate support files
- because each lesson is intended to be run as a separate SCO... (?)

I rely on the LMS menu to handle the launching. So a user launches and
completes one lesson, returns to the LMS menu, then launches the next.

Thanks for the information, Eric!

So, if I'm understanding correctly, the linking between projects will only be recognized by the LMS if it can work with version SCORM 2004? Do older LMS' only recognize the "non-sequencing" version 1.2?
