Question

Setting a "global font" after publishing? Strange behaviour with "Question X of Y" ...

Hi folks!

I have encountered a strange behaviour with the quiz slide counter "Question X of Y": After a colleague has worked on my file (in which everything went perfect!) using an english version of Captivate 9 (I'm working wth the german version), all quiz slides show "Question x of y" in addition to "Frage x von y"!

This is the view in Captivate, putting the two objects side by side.

When publishing sometimes the left object is shown, sometimes the right object.

I cannot reproduce why ...

And the most annoying subject with this is the font issue! I´ve set all objects to a specific font, which is the company font of our customer. This font ist installed not only on my system, but on all customers systems too. So no worry about web fonts and such. BUT ... why is on some pages the quiz slide counter is Times, although I´ve set the object in Captivate all the same??

To avoid this ugly Times font, I thought of setting a global font - somewhere in Captivate or after publish by changing or adding some CSS. But how and where?

And how on earth could this additional quiz slide counter appear?

Why is sometimes one of and even sometimes are both of them in the published project?

Why are some of these counters in Times?

I´m using Captivate 9.02.427, Windows 7, publishing HTML5 (no responsive project)

For dynamic text like the progress indicator you do need ot use a websafe font. Or upgrade to CP2017 wher eyou can use a Typekit font.

Jep, that´s right, I know. To secure all font issues I'm adapting the CSS after publishing, adding Arial to the customers font. So if the course is viewed on a system without the customers font, all texts should be in Arial - but here they are not! I do not know why there are some progress indicators using the defined font(s) and some are not! Obviously an undefined div or something deep in the code is responsible, so that the browser takes whatever font (in this case Times) it likes. That´s why I´ve been trying to set a global font style.

But thy main question is still not answered ... Why do additonal progress indicators appear after opening the file in another version of Captivate? And why are some of the additional indicators shown in the published project, and some of the original indicators?
