Setting styles

Hi all,

'Does anybody know if there's an option to preset de formatting of text, like heading 1, 2 3, standard text like you have in Word (Styles). When I added text in a text caption I changed the format of headings etc line by line. I saw the Opject Style manager, but as far as I can see this handles the formatting of the entire caption.

Hope you do understand my question and have any suggestions.

Regards,

evdsl

Yes, an object style is more than just text formatting, so you have to put each text in a separate caption.

Use the object style manager and have a text caption for each of your 'to be styled' text. Captivate is not a word processor, if you want to compare, you could with a real desktop publishing application: have a text caption for each text you want to have a certain style. Have a look at the quizzing objects in the Object Style Manager: title, question, answers, ... every object has its style.

    Hi Lilybiri,

Thanks for your comment. I do understand that Captivate is not Word and I think I can work with that kind of styles in Object Style Manager. I tried to use this in my sheet but after I select the first line (heading) and connect it to a style the hole text was changed. So my question is: is it possible to use more than one style in one caption? Or do I have the create a capture for heading 1, another for the paragraph and the next one for 1,2,3?
