Sharing Captivate for Review

Hi All

Can someone tell me the best way of sharing my Captivate project for review?  I need a really simple solution to share my project with other team members who don't have access to Adobe Captivate.  I don't need them to record any notes etc. just to view it.

I also need to be able to review my content on a mobile device - what's the easiest, quickest, simplest way of doing this?

Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

many thanks

Kim

Correct answer Lilybiri

Me again.  I've managed to upload my project to Scorm Cloud which works perfectly - thank you Lilybiri :-)

On a completely separate note and I'm sorry if I should start a new thread for this but can anyone advice how to customise some of the learning interactions - for example multiple choice? For example I'm really struggling with style, position, size.... aghhhh I hope I'm just over complicating things!

Many thanks once again,

Kim

Indeed, all local viewing can lead to problems, due probably more to the browsers and the HTML5 whihs id not supported in the same way by them.

It would be better to open a new thread. I am cofused by your question because there is no 'multiple choice' learning interactios, at least not AFAIK. Are you talking about a quiz slide of the MCQ type? If yes, in a responsive project or a non-responsive project?

In a pinch, my team has published the PDF output and sent it in an email. However, the PDF does not always behave properly, just so you're aware.

PDF is unlikely to be a good option for most people nowadays because your Acrobat Reader software would need to have the optional Flash Player plugin installed in order to view the Captivate SWF embedded in the PDF.  That's increasingly unlikely now.

Your best option is now to publish your output to a web server and send your reviewers a link.

If it needs to be an LMS, use a free account on SCORM Cloud.

Yes, if you don't have a gmail account, create one. Once you're logged in, go to Google.com, click the menu button (looks like [edit] 9 squares), and you'll see Drive in the list.

Publish your Captivate project to HTML5 and, if you'd like, set the Scalable HTML content check box. Then follow these instructions:

  1. Create a folder in Google Drive and set the sharing permission to “Public on the Web.”
  2. Upload the HTML, JavaScript and CSS files for your web page to the new folder.
  3. Select the HTML file, open it and click the “Preview” button in the toolbar (in your case, index.html).
  4. Share the URL (it will look like www.googledrive.com/host/…)

Obviously there are more ways to share your project. If you have access to a web server, you can just push your files to a folder there and share the index.html file with your co-workers.

Hope this helps.
