Question

Shortcut key (backspace) brings user to beginning of program

I have assigned a shortcut key command (backspace) to a click box.  Instead of removing the text entry, it is taking the user back to the beginning of the presentation.  I need it to remove the existing entry in that box so the user can enter a new entry from the lookup.

Anyone have any idea how I can get this to work?

Can you please offer some more details? You talk about a 'click box' and a Text Entry. Do you mean a Text Entry Box? What are the Properties of that TEB? Do you have multiple attempts, and do you want to clear the content of the TEB for the next attempt? Backspace is a key which can be used by the learner itself during any typing action, so that is already not a very wise choice. Why do you use a click box instead of the actions on the TEB Properties?

Please tell also what you mean by '...new entry from the lookup'? What is exactly the functionality you have on that slide and what do you want to realize?

I am using the click box in order to have actions applied to that screen.  My action is to advance to the next screen when backspace key is hit.  ( simulating actions within our program that we are doing this training simulation for) Sorry, i misspoke when I said text box.  It is a click box. (It contains image of text) I have tested the backspace key, and  no matter what screen I am in the project, it will take me back to the beginning of the project.  This is something new, as we have been using this project for many many years, and have not had this problem in the past. This only started occuring in the last few months. Some kind of update perhaps?

Sorry, still don't understand. This sentence ' It is a click box. (It contains image of text)' is very confusing. By definition a click box is a rectangular area which is invisible to the learner, can trigger actions On Success and Last Attempt, but can never have an image or a text. Please post a screenshot of ths stage, timeline and the Properties of the 'click box' or wathever object you mean by that term. Click box is outdated, it is not even allowed in a responsive project with Fluid Boxes. It can be stacked on top of any area in the slide but is forbidded in a Fluid Box.

The action for the click box is 'Go to Next Slide'?
