Show Next Image when Submit is clicked

Hi. I've set up a question and I want to show the Next button immediately when the learner gets the question right. However at the moment the Correct Answer appears and then the learner has to click anywhere or click Y to continue and then the Next button appears. How can I remove this extra click?

thanks

Have a look at this article about the two-step design of the default quiz slides:

Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

It looks like you are still on a version before 9, since you talk about a Next button. In CP9 it is a Skip button, which was also its meaning when it was labeled Next in previous versions.

The reason for the two-step design is this:

    1. Click Submit and the feedback message (Success, Last Attempt  or Retry) appears; the playhead is not moving but remains at the pausing point (default 1,5secs). For Retyr, user can change or edit question and submit again.
    2. In case of Success/Last Attempt user can read the message and has to click on the slide or press Y to get to the second step
    3. Second step: playhead is released and the actions specified for Success/Last Attempt are done

If you don't want a message to appear, you'll find a tweak in my article. After reading this expanation, what do you really want to happen.?

I have several video tutorials on making your own multiple choice interactions. The single answer versions can give you immediate feedback but I included an example of multiple answers in case you need it. Feel free to check them out.

Thanks Lilybiri, I worked it out with a little help from your blog. I removed the default Correct answer and replaced it with a caption that I activated in Advanced Actions. I was then also able to activate the Next image from within the Advanced action without the additional 'click' to remove the default Correct text.

    thanks

The other approach is to use custom questions. I have many articles about creating all types of custom questions on my blog. The  biggest challenge is to get custom questions reporting to a LMS, but you'll find some tipe about that as well. Several learning interactions, and the shapes used as buttons are the most used items.
