Hi all,
I'm very new to this forum. I've Captivate from about 1 month, and I start to experiment it.
I have one problem:
when I record a demo, the tip thet captivate insert in the movie, appear too fast:
if I have a link in a video slide AFTER the slide that I'm visiting, the tool tips compare BEFORE the video have refresh, and I have the slide displayed. I know that I have explained the thing in a very bad way, but please help me.
Is there a setting parameter sayng that the tips must be shown, just when the slide is shown ? or somethings like it?

ok; I repeat, that Iexplained the things in a very very bad way, but My english is poor and also in italian I cannot explain very simply this fact.

TIA

Renato

Like Captiv8r said use Print Screen to be on the safe side. I've had recordings given to me and its been a screen behind sometimes so i've had to go into the library and update the page before to be correct.

But pressing Print Screen when theres a new screen to do an extra capture i would say is the safe bet

    Hi psj3809,
I'm now got in touch with Adobe help. I hope they find the solution. It is a very strange behavior, and they don't have to tell me that's because captivate capture the screen when it sense there's an interaction. I can stay on slide without interaction almost one hour, but when i press the interaction the slide is registered in the wrong way.
It could be intresting if someone have already tried the 3.0 ver, and notice the same prob

    bye

Hi Renato and welcome to our community

It sounds like you are probably recording something web based, no? Here's what we normally see. Captivate runs on your PC and it runs pretty fast. When you are automatically recording, it grabs screen captures each time it senses an action such as a mouse click. But if you are recording a web based application where the screen refresh is dependent upon a server to process and push the screens, you will often encounter mismatches and blank screens. It will generally look like a mess when you are finished.

This doesn't mean the project actually *IS* a mess, only that it looks that way. The goal here is to supplement your recording with some manual screen captures. Normally you press the Print Screen key on your keyboard to force Captivate to capture. So when you sense things aren't quite recording right (and this part is more of an art than anything else) you need to supplement with a few presses of Print Screen. After all, it's way way easier to remove a capture you didn't need than it is to add what was missed later.

    Hopefully this helps... Rick
