Question

Simple = Challenge

I'm finding that the simpler I have to make an Adobe Captivate e Learning tutorial, the more challenging it is for me as the content creator.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you go about creating simple, yet quality e Learning content?

Hi AnotherMe,

Yes, brevity takes a lot more thought design than having no constraints to size or scope. In order to make something simpler,  I find I have two choices,  Either break it down into smaller chunks,  or make it much more high level thus avoiding a tonne of details- Only you and your client can decide what is the appropriate level for the material presented though. Not really an answer but this is what works for me.

Cheers

Go back to your Learning Objective statements.  If you are designing your course based on a set of clear unambiguous statements about specific areas of knowledge or skills it should successfully teach to the learners, then ONLY content that supports those objectives should be included.

These statements should have been agreed with your client near the beginning of the project.  If you don't have this documented, it's very easy for the information content to blow out as stakeholders and SMEs all weigh in with their ideas and preferences.
