Size of HTML5 Video - Half the window is taken by TOC

Hi,

I'm using Adobe Captivate 2017 to publish an HTML5 file, which includes a Table of Content.  When the I upload the video to Canvas (the LMS that my university uses), the entire right size of the window is taken by the Table of Content, not leaving enough space for the video itself.

I switched to the Html editing tool on Canvas, thinking that I'll see the size somewhere (i.e. 640x480) and change it.  But I can't find it.  Here is what I see:

<p> </p>

<p> </p>

<p><a class="instructure_file_link" title="index.html" href="https://my.XYZ.edu/courses/16384/files/2313441/download?wrap=1" data-api-endpoint="https://XYZ.edu/api/v1/courses/16384/files/2313441" data-api-returntype="File">index.html</a></p>

Any help? What I'm trying to do is increase the size of the window so that both the Table of Content and the Video are visible.

Thank you in advance,

Alex

If you have the TOC in Overlay, you have the choice:

    • You can use the doube arrow buttons that are available by default at the top of the TOC. That is the easiest way, but they can be very tiny.
    • Or you create a TOC button to toggle the TOC. I explained a workflow in this blog post:
      1 action = 5 Toggle Buttons - Captivate blog

You can see such a button in this interactive movie, published from Captivate as Rescalable HTML:

    SharedActions

Why not set the TOC in Overlay, adn add a TOC toggle button, since you seem to have so little space? Minimum width of the TOC is 250px.

    Thank you, Lillybiri,

Is the "Toggle button" is under the TOC settings? or is this something that I should create (then add an action to it and put it on each slide)?  I'm hoping there is setting that will take care of this.

    Thank you very much,

    Alex
