Sizing the stage

Question

Very basic question. I open a new project, an imprted powerpoint. At first, I thought i had a problem with viewing it on the stage only to learn that I had to scroll to see the slide. It does not stay in view and even goes behind the black curtain.

How to I format the stage to keep the slide centered. I am working on a 15" laptop.

Use the option Best Fit. You find it under the last dropdown list in the Menu bar:

I showed the Rulers (View menu) on purpose: they are in px, and you'll see the size vertically and horizontally.

There is a shortcut key for Best Fit: CTRL-0. Please don't insult me if you are on a Mac... translate that shortcut key or forget it.
