Skins - Menus

Captiovate 2. Skins, Menu option. I can add a menu, select it to open an URL, select New, Top, or Parent and check or uncheck to continue playing the project. This same option exists with Buttons. Not checking the continue play project seems to have no affect. The move keeps playing. In the buttons, I though this was due to the pause option not being checked, but pause option isn't an option in the Skins, menu.

Is there a setting I'm missing or miss-understanding the use of conttinue playing opject feature?

Thank you.

Shawn

Mark:

Thank you. Please note if the "Continue playing project" option is not dependent on using the Pause option, this bug may also be in Click Box and Buttons where there is access to URL and the "Continue playing project" option. There may be other areas that I am not aware of that use this function. I think this was also true for V1 (not sure what support there is on V1 fixes).

FYI - In the Project Preferences, Project End options, you can link to a URL but the option to "Continue playing the project" was not available. I'm assuming by design.

Hi Shawn

I'm pretty doubtful that the "bug" (if you think you must call it that) exists in the other objects. (Nah, I'm really not being cranky or snarky, it just sounds that way at the moment. Please allow me to explain.)

I personally don't see it as a bug. The menu feature is new with this version. If you use it, It's simply there and visible during the duration of the movie. While you do see the option to "Continue playing movie", I think the thought behind it was probably for instances in simulations where click boxes pause each slide. As it is simply appearing at all times, it makes total sense to me that the movie woudn't pause a bit if you decided to link from the menu to a URL. Because nothing stopped the movie first. So instead of a "bug" per se, I'm gonna call it a "WAD". Working as designed. The behavior certainly isn't desired, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bug.

Cheers and happy Thursday! Rick
