Slide durations will not change for drag and drop slides in Captivate 2019

Question

I have been trying to decrease the slide length for two drag and drop slides. Whenever I try to change it on the Timing portion of the Properties tab, it will not do so. Additionally, I have tried to use the timeline to decrease the time, but it is locked and refuses to move. Any assistance would be helpful, as I feel I have tried everything and nothing will work.

The default length of a Drag and Drop slide is usually 1.5 seconds.

But a drag and drop slide would need objects on the slide to use as drag objects and drop targets. If those objects are set to play for a given number of seconds, then you will not be able to reduce the slide shorter than their assigned length.

If you set each of those objects to time as Display for Rest of Slide, then you should be able to drag the timeline down to whatever you want.
