slide transition is out of sync with my edited audio

Hi

I have edited the audio on one of my slides and now the slide transition is all wrong, the voice is ahead of the actions on screen.  I dont want to fill the space with dead air, is there any way I can speed up/edit the transition of the slide so that it all syncs up?  If I change the display time, it will cut off too early - help!

Karen,

What kind of 'action' do you have on the slide?  If animations, the audio might be hard to sync up.  If static objects, you'll just have to fiddle with the timeline.

Tip: I use  an audio editor to normalize my audio before importing into Captivate.  You'll be able to clearly see phrase and sentence breaks in the amplitude of the sound wave.  This helps you sync objects with what's being said.

When all else fails, put the 'actions' on separate slides and chop up the audio.
