Slide transitions in Captivate 9?

Hi,

I am new to Captivate 9 and working on an HTML5 project.

I cannot to create slide transitions. Seems these are not available in 'Responsive' (HTML5) projects. If that is correct, does anyone have a workaround, other than putting transitions on all of the objects in the slide?

Thank you Lilybiri and Rick. You guys have been so helpful in the past. I'm glad to see you're still around.

Yes, it does need to be a responsive project. I will drop the idea of slide transitions for now. Too many other challenges  that I am finding my way through.

Another thought: it seems to me always so strange to want slide transitions in an eLearning course. I see the utility of it in a presentation, but not in eLearning. Slides are used in a different way in Captivate: a lot of times, the user will not even be able to see that he was moved to a new slide. Just a personal reflection...

Most effects (which can be very useful on a slide) are working now in HTML environment in modern browsers, which is already a big accomplishment in that non-standardized world.

Moreover be careful with responsive projects: are you sure you need a responsive project?

Lilybiri,  I don't think it is good for you to judge whether or not a learning module should have slide transitions.  If the designer wants transitions, which do seem to be supported in other versions and formats, then they should be able to have them.  At least the documentation should explicitly tell them that this feature is NOT available for Responsive projects.

I also wish Adobe could figure out how to sort the comments and responses into the product versions.  Half the time, I am finding answers for Captivate 6 or something when I am trying to work with Captivate 9.

    Hi there

    Things such as transitions with nearly anything seem to be hit or miss in that wonderful wacky world of HTML 5.

    If you get them to work on objects, congratulations! But many things don't seem to work as advertised in this brave new universe. Seems the laws of HTML 5 physics are vastly different than the SWF universe.
