Slides and animations not progressing in project

I am using Captivate 9. I have created a simple project using some animations and slide progression. Throughout my design in preview the animations and slide progression worked as anticipated. However I am now experiencing a  glitch when in previewing and when I have uploaded the project to our LMS, the audio works fine but the slides are not progressing and the animations are not moving. I noticed on the play bar that the little time marker is not moving forward. When I move the marker manually it starts animating. I have looked at the project on a mac and PC and the problem persists.

The same problem is occurring with the sample projects I have from Lynda and they had been working fine initially.

Is it possible to post screenshots of the timeline? Most issues of this kind happen because somewhere you have a pausing point on the timeline. Slide audio, if not paused by a special option will disregard that pause, same for object audio and audio started with the command 'Play audio'. I am busy finalizing a 4th article about timelines, where I will screen all pauses. Not all are visible on the timeline.

Could you tell which version you are using? Please, exact number, to be found under Help, About...

As for Preview: which preview method did you use? Do not use Play slide, that is not a Preview method. The closest to output are both Preview in Browser (F11 and F12).

Thanks for the quick response! You were right some of the objects were paused. It now works beautifully.

I really appreciate the help, I have only been using Captivate for a couple of weeks. My learning curve us basically a verticl line at this point!
