Question

Slides not using assigned breakpoints

I'm very new to Captivate, so please bear with me. I have watched several tutorial videos, and have been doing some reading about Captivate, but I'm still having trouble. I'm currently working on creating a responsive course with three separate modules. I have my roughs uploaded to our LMS, and while they kind of work, the breakpoints I have set seem to have gone out the window. I was under the impression that if a viewport was in the size parameters of breakpoint A, that it would use the layout of breakpoint A; or if it was in the size that corresponds with breakpoint B, that it would use the layout for breakpoint B and so on. However, when viewed on certain screens, the layout seems to completely break and things move all over the place. What do I have to do to ensure the integrity of my layouts? I have looked through the forums to try and find this particular problem, but I haven't found it, so if this is already somewhere with an answer, I apologize and would love to be pointed in the right direction.

Thank you!

How did you set up the location and size of the objects in the Position

Properties panel?

I've done it a couple of different ways: first, I had everything set up using percentages, but my objects were going haywire, so I changed it to pixels, hoping that would fix the problem, but it just seems to have changed the way they move on the slide.

You need a combination of % and Auto, and maybe relative positioning. Px will rarely do the job correctly. Strongly to be recommended is to use Edge Inspect for testing!
