Slow responsive site navigation and Play button

I'm using the latest version of Adobe Captivate 8 responsive design.  When I test the site are slow navigation issues.  It's pausing 9 seconds after tapping the button before I'm able to return to the main menu.  There is also a Play button in mobile views at the beginning that I'd like to remove.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

The play button is due to some 'fruit' devices that do not allow Automatic play from what I read on the forums all the time.

If it is slow, maybe your file is not optimized for mobile devices, too large? How big is the published file?

The published file is only 4.68mb in size so I don't think that is causing the slow down.  It seems to navigate faster on the other pages except when it returns to the main menu.  On the main menu there are 2 .png graphics, a couple Captivate smart shapes and 16 transparent buttons.

No video or audio.  I was thinking that maybe all the buttons were causing a slow down?  I tried deleting all of the buttons except for one and that did shave off about 3 seconds.  6 seconds is still too long a load time though.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!

What you don't tell is: what are those buttons triggering? What are they used for?

I'm asking this because once I reduced the size of a file to about 50% just by replacing advanced actions by one shared action with parameters.
