Smaller dimension screen captures nested on larger project screen.

I want my learners to complete a series of software simulations, and hope to place scenario text on one side or the other of the screen, with the software screen captures (training simulation) in a smaller sized box. Is this possible?

The software I'm training on uses the 'whole window' with navigation, menus, and Save buttons ranging in every area so it is not suitable to just paste a smart shape in one location on the screen and keep it there on every slide.
