Smooth Flash (.swf) Animation

I've created some basic animations in flash at 24fps and published them. When viewing the .swf file the animation is smooth. But once I import them into my captivate project (set to 24fps) and view the published presentation some of the animations appear jery and not fluid at all.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be the cause?

Thanks for you help.

The motion appears jerky when viewing it in preview mode, the published file on my local machine and also when it is posted and viewed online.

are you testing in Preview mode, or are you testing a published file? Just
wondering ... if you are previewing you **might** get better performance
    once published.

Thanks for the replay and suggestions but my Captivate project is already set to 24 fps to match the animations and they are "Synchronize with project".

But I'll try to set them both to 30 fps to see if this reduces the jerkyness.

    Hi NJV20

Captivate normally operates at 30 frames per second. So you might try one of the following approaches.

    1. Re-Publish your flash after changing to 30 frames per second
    2. Adjust Captivate from 30 frames per second to 24 to match your animation

Not sure if this might help, but when you look at the animation properties in Captivate, look at the Options tab. Try enabling the "Synchronize with project" option.

    Cheers... Rick
