'Snap to Guide' is not working when resizing text caption

Why can't I snap my text caption when resizing (enlarging) to a guide?

'Snap  to  Guide'  is of course             enabled.

 

FYI:
Snapping the text caption towards the guide is no problem when moving the entire

I cannot help you, because I have seen similar issues when trying to resize not only captions but shapes and images. Moving works a lot better.

Are you sure the 'bounding box' (because most captions have an enclosing bounding box) is not snapping instead of the border of the caption?

I'm not sure what you mean with "border of the caption".
In the image you see the bounding box that can not be snapped to its guide while resizing.

Is this a caption or a shape? I will try to double check, know that snapping to guides is not working for everything, resizing must be one of the exceptions. Too bad!
