Software Simulation, Default Object Styles?

I am using Cap 9. Trying the software simulation features. Is there any way to apply a style to the text objects that Captivate automatically adds to the screens?

I can't refer to them as text captions because they aren't individual objects in the timeline. So far, they seem to be grouped as one object that I can move around individually, and manually resize (needed every time!). Being able to apply a style to them would save a lot of work.

Is there a way to do this?

    Are you sure that those are captions, not shapes? Because both objects can be chosen in Preferences, Recording, Defaults. In that location you will also find all default styles for recording software simulations. And you can navigate easily to the Object Style Manager.

    If you want to change the style after capturing, you change it for one caption (or shape), then use the hamburger menu button (top right with three horizontal lines) where you can Apply the changes to the existing style.

    It's not abundantly clear what you are asking, can you post a screen shot?

    The captions and smart objects can be changed in the preferences before capture.

    If you're wanting to change the text messages that are displayed after capture, these defaults can be managed by editing an external text file. However, these can only be changed before capture, any edits made will not appear in files that have already been captured.
