Hi,

Is it possible to delay the appearance of the hint and incorrect caption boxes on a click box?

I would like to include a text caption box on the slide to direct the learner to find the correct tool before the hint appears, but have the click box available.

So far I can only see one item in the timeline for the click box which includes the timing for the hint and incorrect captions.

I'm using Captivate 8.

Thank you

Karen

Recently I blogged about delaying a hint, but it is using multistate objects which you don't yave yet in that old version.

I found a bit of a workaround. I've made the hint 'invisible'. I added a 'hint' to the incorrect caption as that only appears if the learner clicks the wrong area. I then added a text caption with the guidance to the learner. The click box appears a few seconds after the slide loads, while the text caption is still visible. It's a bit of a faff, but seems to work.

OK, always great to find a workaround. Thanks for posting it!
