Software simulation issues in Captivate 2017

The red recording box is showing in my recording (whether I choose Manual or Automatic recording). The left side of the red recording box is also showing in the middle of the screen in the simulation. I read something about a problem with a responsive project, but this is not a responsive project. Also, the mouse is not aligned properly, and therefore does not click in the correct place in the screenshot.
