Question

Software Simulation preview shows mouse clicks in wrong place

I am using Captivate 7 to try to capture some mouse clicks on the screen.  When I play them back in preview mode the mouse clicks always appear to the left and above the point they should be at.

I have tried the full screen, custom screen and application options but the results are the same each time.

I am using Internet Explorer for the web application which I am trying to capture the mouse clicks in.

My monitor resolutions is set to 1920 x 1200 Landscape but I have tried different resolutions and even a different monitor.

Can anyone suggest what else I might try?

Thanks

Hello,

Can you tell me the exact version of Captivate 7 ?

It should be 7.0.1.237 , if it is not then Please update your version and then try again .

Please try to publish and then check if it still behaves the same or not .

Is it possible for you to attach a screenshot of your recording .

Thanks

Thank you for answering.  I can confirm that I am using version 7.0.1.237.

I have attached a screenshot of the problem.  The mouse click should be on the text box next to the right of the User Name label, instead it is appearing further up and to the left of the screen.

Hello ,

Thank you for sharing the information ,

Does it behaves the same even if you publish your project ?

Does it change its position at the time of preview or it shows at the same Place in Captivate project  as well?

Thanks
