Question

Some questions about customizing quiz and player

I found a way to customize almost all strings, buttons and messages in a quiz, except two:

1. Question <X> of <Y> which appears on each question slide

2. "Correct answer" which appears while reviewing a quiz and is the title of Review Area.

How to customize/translate those strings?

Aditionally, I would like to customize the player skin, in particular the words "Find" and "Minutes", "Slide title" etc - basically all strings. Is it possible to change the player skin completely to give it e.g. a childish look and feel with customized buttons etc ?

Last but not least:

When running quiz for the second time, from the same html address, and when the previous run was incomplete (not all questions answered - someone wants just to re-run the whole quiz) there appears popup message "Continue from where you stopped last time?". There are two buttons: OK and Cancel. How to get rid of this message (not show it to user?) Or ... customize it...

Hello,

I suspect you are using Captivate 5.0? The Review has changed in 5.5

For the Progress indicator, no direct way to change that, I'm sorry. Because I needed a lot of times to localise that indicator (Question X of Y) I have been blogging about a possible workaround:

Customized progress indicator

For the other question, not immediately an answer, I suppose you already tweaked the Review Messages? It could be done if you use advanced actions and pop up your own review messages (Text Captions) but it will take quite a lot of work. I'm in the middle of preparing another blog post where some questions are constructed with widgets and making the review working properly is not that easy.

Hi,

I am using Captivate 5.5 and what I wrote concerns this version.. I have no clue what has changed from the stuff that is in my questions, I never used previous versions. I'll check at the blog, looks *very* interesting
