Sound on IPad not playing

I developed some elearn on Captivate 8. It has been working well until recently. My iPad won't play sound on slides. It does play the sound on videos that are hosted outside of Captivate, but the sound on a slide isn't playing. This has worked in the past. The last post I could find on this from 2017. Any additional information?

    Which Browser was used? Or are you talking about a course published to MP4?

    CP8 is very old. Maybe an OS upgrade on your iPad is responsible, Apple is notorious for breaking functionalities with their updates.

    The course is published to HTML5. The iPad is using Safari as the browser. I realize that Captivate 8 is old. The material is still being used and I'd rather not redo it. Any suggestions?

    Use another browser (Chrome or Firefox), avoid audio on the first slide.
