Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else has the same problem????

If I create an swf with animation in flash with a frame rate of 12, when i put it into my project in captive it doubles the frame rate and speeds my animation up?!?!

Just wondering if anyone else gets the same problem or if anyone knows how to stop it....

Thanks

I would think it's more simply a mismatch between the FLA and the CP
files. If they're both the same frame rate, they should play at the same
speed. If CPs framerate is 30, then set the FLA to 30 and they should
match fine...no?

I agree with Eriks last point. I produce my own flash files at 30fps, which is also the default frame rate for CP and they run fine.

Does this mean i will now have to make all my flash files with a frame rate of 30 and create make them slower in flash so that they are normal in captivate?

Hi there,

Trying setting the FLA to 35 fps and publish the file again and insert this into your Captivate project. This should address the issue.

Hi Mark

Just curious as to why you suggested 35? I believe the default frame rate for Captivate is 30.

Hi Rick,

I seem to recall somebody on the CP team suggesting 35 fps. Having said that that I have another file where I set the frame rate to 24 fps and that worked fine as well.

As you rightly state, in the documentation the default setting is 30, so foxy619, you might want to try 30 first and see if that does the trick.
