Spiral Effect - Change anchor?

Hello!

I have a simple design - 4 flags in the upper portion of the screen.... When the user clicks on the different flag - I have another object "spiral" in to the center of the screen...  It works great for the first flag because the effect "starts" where the first flag is located... but for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th flags... the effect doesnt appear to "start" from those images...

Maybe I am missing it - but is there a way to move the starting point for the Spiral Effect? so this way each affect looks like its coming out of the different flags?

The custom motion path doesnt work for me because the image starts off at the real size... Spiral has the image start of small and it gets larger as it spirals in... So i did try that idea...

I added the image with a drawing on it to show where I would like the spiral effect to start... hope this makes sense!

    I did not duplicate... I did create 3 other sets of actions to work for each flag that is clicked on...   None of my butons have a pausing point... I will have a conditional set of actions that will show a "Next" button once each variable equals 1.

    I just cant figure out how, or if it is even possible, to move the location of where the Spiral effect begins so I can make it look like it spirals out of the appropriate flag.

    Hope that makes sense... this is all still new to me.


    Spiral In is an Entrance effect where you have not a lot of controls. Only the end state can be defined, because that is where you put it on the state. You should have the big flags at the same distance of each other as the small ones used as buttons.

    If you need to control the effect start and end point, you need to use motion paths. It is perfectly possible to combine that motion effect with a Scale to and a Alpha to effect. But that means you'll have to design custom effects for each of the flags. This very old post talks about custom eeffects:

    How do you start the effect: with an advanced or shared action?

    I have a meeting now, will be back. Need more information: you did duplicate that advanced action and edited it?  The buttons triggering those actions have a pausing point at the same time?
