Splicing slides from a training and simulation

Hi everyone,

I couldn't find anything on this when I searched, so I thought I would post. I am making a some training videos for a customer, and want to show the training slide of how to perform a task, and then allow the trainee to perform that task. This would go back and forth a few time each project, and and I need to splice the slides from each recording. Any help on how to do that?

I am pretty new to this, so let me know what you think. The project is intended as a SWF file, and I'm using Captivate 5.

Thanks,

Joe

If you didn't capture yet, try to do both training and demonstration at the same time (is possible) so that you end up with two projects that are identical for resolution and work flow. That will make it easier to create one project later on, using the copy/paste technique described by Rick.

Hi Joe and welcome to our community

I'm assuming you are using Captivate 5 or 5.5 here. And if so, you should be able to have more than one project open at the same time. Each project is a tab in the Captivate interface. So you would just click the tab, select and copy the slides, then open the other tab and paste the copied slides.

Hopefully both projects are recorded at the same resolution. If not, there may be some oddity.

Cheers... Rick
