Start and Stop Gif-Animations in Captivate 9

Hello,

first to say: I´m using newest Version of Adobe Captivate 9 and my Project is responsive for mobile devices.

I´ve inserted gif-Animations. They play well on activating (show-action).

But how can I start or stop this Gif-Animations with a Button?

Is that possible?

You can control them with several JS libraries. You would need to put the gif in an html file, zip it and insert as an html5 animation.

I doubt you can control it directly, but if you create a 2nd image that is the still frame you want displayed you could 'simulate' this interaction by hiding the animated GIF and displaying the still frame. (This can be accomplished in Cp9 by using states, earlier versions by using a 'toggle' written in advanced actions.)

Of course, displaying a single still image would limit its usefulness!

If you were looking to create a 'spinner' interaction, like from a board game, this would only display the arrow in a single position.
