Question

Stop Triggered Audio action doesn't work.

I'm having a problem getting audio to stop when a shape button is clicked.

  • I created some buttons with states that display a text caption in the visited state when the button is clicked.
  • The text caption plays an audio file when it appears.
  • The button uses the Stop Triggered Audio action when clicked so that if another button is clicked before the first audio is finished, the new audio won't play over the previous audio.

Problem: it doesn't work. What is wrong?

Stop Triggered Audio works only for one type of audio: if it is started with Play Audio. It will not work for Object audio. You didn't tell which type of audio you used. If all audio is played with Play Audio, you don't even need to use 'Stop Triggered Audio' because when you start another audio clip before the first one is finished, it will automatically stop the first audio clip. Only for that type of audio.
