Question

Strange / Random behavior 'next slide'

Goodmoring,

I've wrote about this problem before, but did't receive a usefull answer, so i try it again...

I've made a short, 20 slides max, project with questions. After giving an answer,
a button appears, users has to press and goes to the next slide.

BUT, at random pages/questions, after pressing the button, i receive the feedback on millisecond
looks like a 'flash' and then the project hangs. It doesn't go to the next slide. It happend on multiple
pc's, and during runtime and also in preview mode.

In the latest export of the project, i accidently choose a menubar, skin. You cant go to the next slide,
because you have to answer the question, BUT if the project hangs, you can use the slider to go to the next slide. So it doesn't look like its totally hanging.

Anybody know what could cause this ?

Grt Marc

Are your slides all linear... meaning you always go from slide 1 to slide 2 to slide 3 and so on?

With question slides, there are issues if you try to jump around in a nonlinear fashion. Beyond that, the only thing I can think of is that the project may have become corrupted somehow.

Some other folks are also having problems with published files hanging, so I'm also wondering if there isn't an issue with needing a later version of the Flash Player.

Yes all questions are liniar, but its true that i have been experimenting a lot deleting adding and so on.

I published with flash player 7, perheps that could be part of the problem.

Biggest isue for me was the fact that in the first test i had with captivate it looks like the file got corrupted.
    Not nice advertisement:-)

Do your slides have inserted animations or video files?

It could be that you haven't published everything to the same folder and things just look like they're hanging, when in fact you're seeing blank slides run for a long time...

No animations or video, just plain multi-choice questions...
every questions default time 3 seconds...
