Stretch Effect Issue

I am trying to use the StrectchFromLeft Effect to "wipe in" and arrow that is at a 29 degree angle showing a progressive decline on a chart. It works perfectly when I play the slide, but then when I publish it or preview it instead of the arrow starting at the end and extending out (the path of the red line below), it tends to come in almost full side and takes more of a swinging path (the blue line below). Im pretty new to captivate (using Captivate 9). Is there something I am missing? I have tried playing with all of the settings i can find in the timing and positions properties. Also, I find that i have to position the arrow much higher on the slide than where it needs to be for it to position correctly even in the preview (see below).

    First warning: Play slide is never a Preview method, not a good way to see the end result.

    Which output will you want at the end: SWF or HTML5? Is this a normal (blank) project or a responsive project? For the latter only HTML5 output is used in Preview methods, but for normal projects all but F11 (Preview HTML5 in Browser) are Flash-based. The output is not consistent between SWF and HTML5, you have to preview in the wanted output.

    The output will be in HTML5. it is a Responsive Project.

    I agree that preview is not the same as the end result, but I wouldn't expect it to be completely different, and the output I am getting is drastically different.

    Especially the combination of effects leads something to very weird results, I totally agree. The real output can only be viewed when published and uploaded to a webserver or a LMS. Even then the result will depend on the used browser. After all, HTML5 is not standardized like Flash is, and support depends on the browser (and device in case of responsive projects).

    I hope you are on the latest version of 9, which is 9.0.2.437.
