Submit Button / Jump to Slide

Is assigning the action "Jump to Slide" to the Submit button the only way to allow a quiz taker to navigate to reference or remedial content? If so, when the quiz taker returns to the quiz and answers the question, will clicking the Submit button then submit the quiz taker's answer?

Just to clarify a couple of points:

  • You are not actually assigning the Jump to Slide action to the Submit button of the quiz question.  You can only assign Advanced Actions to runtime Events.  In quiz questions this means you would be using either the On Success (for correct answers) or On Last Attempt event (for incorrect answers where there are no more allowed attempts).
  • Lilybiri's blog post explains the process for setting up remediation.  On visiting the question slide again after remediation, their answer will ONLY be submitted if they answer correctly.
  • Pay close attention to the fact that if end users do not end up being able to answer the question correctly after visiting the remediation slide, then they could potentially end up in a rather frustrating loop.

Now it's my turn to clarify...

The scenario for my quiz is in order to answer the questions a clinician need to access and navigate a mock patient's chart (a series of screenshots) during the quiz to find the answers e.g. "What was the administration time for the last dose of Morphine 4mg. given IV and the administrating clinician's name?'

The situation is not a remediation because the clinician answered the question wrong, but rather a case where the clinician needs to demonstrate the proficiency to navigate the patient's electronic medical record to find the correct answer.

I hope this helps what I'm trying to set up in Captivate. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you may be able to give.
