Suddenly content not loading?

Is anyone else experiencing issues with your flash content not working in the last few days?

I have courses that have worked fine for the last several months, but in the last 2 days we're getting reports from our users that the content won't open. One error message I saw was about the "Content from this location is not authorized". I'm trying to figure out if this is maybe an issue caused by our LMS (our vendor says no), or if maybe others are experiencing similar issues all of a sudden with flash content developed in Captivate. It almost feels like an issue with 'trusted locations'. I know the recent flashplayer security upgrades have caused issues.

Anyone have similar experiences?

Thanks

I have had this problem since last week!  I use Captivate 9 and I have narrowed it down to the quiz reporting option under preferences. If I disable that option, my projects load without issue.  Otherwise they remain stuck in a loading loop.  I sure could use some help to get this corrected!!

    Thank you,

    Laurie

I have this problem now too. Captivate 9 with videos, published 6 months ago do not work anymore. Stays stuck in video loading loop. Have copies in 3 different locations (LMS, server and desktop) none of them work now.

If you just open the .SWF, everything works, but will not work when opened in IE or Chrome... Even with quiz preferences checked.

Whar is the work flow: are you testing with a Preview method, if that is the case which method are you using? Where is the cptx file stored? The default folder used by Captivate is automatically added to Flash trusted locations, but for other folders you need to add them manually. Which browser do you? Some browsers now do not include the Flash plugin by default, you have to install it.

    Hi,

these are actually published courses. They are within our LMS and have been used for many months already with hundreds of users.

All of a sudden we're getting calls about this one issue. It's cropped up in the last 2-3 days. LMS vendor says it's not on their end, but on our end. However, we haven't pushed any updates to our browsers etc, so we're trying to figure out where this issue might be coming from.

I figured if some of you are experiencing similar issues all of a sudden, then I might be tempted to believe the vendor that it's not on their end.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what version of Captivate the courses were developed in, because we didn't develop them in house but received them from another software vendor.

How can this be due to Captivate, if the courses were not republished? As I mentioned this can be due to new browser of LMS features. Are you sure there are no browsers being updated?

As for the LMS, could you upload a course on SCORM cloud, to test if it is working correctly? If that is the case, probably the cause is with the LMS.
