SWF file from old Captivate Output--don't have source Captivate file

I am trying to convert the file. I have decompiled it and can see it is an older Captivate project exported to .swf. The .swf is older and doesn't want to play right, and it won't convert to mp4 because the action scripts are older. Any ideas for getting this file into an mp4?

You could capture it with Video Demo if it played well, but that seems not be the case. There is no way to convert a swf-file to a cptx-project, sorry.

That's not what I asked. I know it is a Captivate file. I need it as an mp4

    Hi there

As Lilybiri said, your best hope is to play it and use either Captivate recording in Video Demo format as it plays or use another tool such as SnagIt or Camtasia to record it as it plays. Any of these methods (as well as others) should then allow you to save it as an MP4 file.

Unfortunately, the bottom line is that there is simply no escape from playing it back and recording it as that happens. There is no magickal tool I'm aware of that will seamlessly convert it to an MP4.

    Cheers... Rick
