Swf file plays independantly of slide in CP6

I am using Captivate 6 and using a swf file to play a short video on one of my slides. The video plays fine, however it does not pause with the slide when the play/pause button is clicked. I have the option for 'Sycronize with project' turned on, however the swf still plays in dependantly of the slide. How can I make the swf play and pause with rest of the course?

Hi there,

Welcome to Adobe Community. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.

Which option you are using to insert a video?

If you are inserting it through Video > Insert Video then try using a Multi-Slide Synchronized Video. It will paly and pause with the project.

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Unforchinatly because it is a swf file, I cannot insert in using the method you suggested, the swf file in greyed out. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much.

Hi again,

Yes if it is a SWF file then it will not work that way. In order to do that you have to convert it to .flv or .f4v and then insert it.

Thanks!
