Template Textbox

Hello to everyone. I'm a newbie using Captivate 4.0 running Windows 7 and I have spent hours trying to overcome something that I believe is simple. Here's the issue.  When opening a Template and typing into a text box, the "T" in the box doesn't go away.  I can see it in the preview and after rendering the project.  I've also followed the video tutorial and tried designing my own template but when I put in the Placeholder Text Caption box, the "T" still doesn't go away when typing. How do I get the "T" to go away when typing into it?  This is rather frustrating since it's a simple text entry. Below is an example.

Hi there

How exactly are you operating? I'm wondering if you are mistaking the manner in which Templates are used.

With Project Templates, you define the template. While you are doing this you should note that you are working with a .CPTL file. This will be shown in the Title Bar of Captivate.

So you make any changes you want to include in the template. Then you save it and close it.

To use the template, you create a totally new project based on the template. What you are describing sounds as if you are directly opening the .CPTL file via File > Open and you aren't clicking File > New Project > From Template (Captivate 5) or File > New > Project and choosing the Template option.

So if my hunch is correct, you should see that the "T" goes away when you create a project based on the template.

Cheers... Rick
