    Hi @Bassam Almesfer ,

You can add an image background and then add text on top of the background. There are three ways to do so:

    Method 1

    1. Add a blank slide.
    2. Add a text block. Select Add text blocks > Paragraph.
    3. Select the block.
    4. In the Appearance section of the Visual Properties panel, select Image in the Solid Fill dropdown.
    5. Add an image from Assets or local machine, and insert the image.

    Method 2

    1. Add a blank slide.
    2. Add a text block. Select Add text blocks > Paragraph.
    3. Select the block.
    4. In the Components section of the Visual Properties panel, select the Card checkbox.
    5. Select the Card inside the text block.
    6. In the Card panel, select Image in the Solid color dropdown.
    7. Add an image from Assets or local machine, and insert the image.

You've added the text on an image inside a card.

    Method 3

In this example, you'll add a card enclosing text. The card will be on top of an image background.

    1. Add a blank slide.
    2. Add a text block. Select Add text blocks > Paragraph.
    3. Select the block.
    4. In the Components section of the Visual Properties panel, select the Card checkbox.

    5. In the Appearance section, select Image in the Solid color dropdown.

    6. Add an image from Assets or local machine, and insert the image.

Thank you for using Captivate. Please keep the feedback flowing.

One of the major restrictions of Responsive projects is that you will be unable to stack items on top of each other. That restriction could be circumvented in the two previous workflows for responsive projects (Breakpoint views and Fluid Boxes) but it is completely impossible in version 12. Sorry about this message, less work and ease of creating quickly a responsive course comes with a cost to design freedom.

From what I understand it isn't possible to add text over an image in Captivate 12/2023 version. A workaround would be to add it to the image in a different software before uploading it, but that would mean it would change how the text & image looks under different responsive environments.
