Question

Text and sound delay and issues when learners view file

Hello,

Learners who completed a module for me as a school assignment in a master's program had issues with sound and text being delayed and sometimes images disappearing and never re-appearing. I did not use timing on any of the slides.

The learning was created on a Windows computer, and all of the learners viewed the eLearning created with Captivate on a Mac computer (we all work in the same office and all have Macs).

The way they viewed it is detailed below, the file was too large for Adobe's free server.  Any ideas on what is wrong and how I can fix it?

Thank you,

Kasey

2.  Right click the file

3.  Extract the file

4.  Double click the file named index_scorm

5.  Click ok

6.  The eLearning module will play

You cannot attach files to threads in this forum.  But you can insert images such as screenshots.

If your learners will not be viewing the content from an LMS, there's no point turning on the SCORM settings.  That will just create extra problems for you.  If you were not able to upload to Adobe's Captivate Prime LMS, did you try uploading to SCORM Clcoud?

The usual reason why images are disappearing from a slide will be that they were not timed for Rest of Slide.  If you could insert some screenshots of the timeline on sides where these images were disappearing, then that might help with debugging your issues.

Oh thank you so much! I looked and you're right, they weren't set for rest of slide. So strange that wouldn't be the default!

    Thank you again so much
