Text box appears on Fill-in-the-Blank question slide (mobile: Android, iOS) (CP9)

I am wondering if I've found a bug or if I've done something wrong.  I am working on upgrading our company to a mobile responsive template.  While testing out each question type, it seems that the Fill-in-the-Blank question adds a superfluous text box to the screen.  Here is what the slide looks like in Android 5.1.1/Chrome (same happens in iOS/Safari):
