Text Box Rotation

I'm trying to get some text captions to be angled in a diagram (see photo). I've transformed the proportions, but when I test it, the test remains at a neutral alignment. Any ideas why this is happening and how I can get the text to be rotated to fit my graphic? Notably, the text captions I'm trying to rotate are all programmed to variables from a previous slide's text entry boxes. 

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I am not able to see clearly on the screenshot, is it possible to post a more detailed one?

How did you test? If by preview: with F12 or F11 (both in Browser)?

How is the link set up between the variables and the rotation?

I previewed in HTML5, HTML 5 in Browser, and just Preview--> Project. I don't know what F11 or F12 means. Since you and RodWard both asked about preview mode, I tried previewing in SCORM cloud and got the result I wanted, but I'm still uncertain if it will appear in my LMS version correctly. Let me try to get a better screenshot for you shortly. And thank you both for the response!

Normally if the LMS is SCORM compliant, it would look like in SCORM Cloud. If that is not the case, it is due to the LMS, not to Captivate. SInce a while I tend to publish only to HTML, because the 'look' can be different for SWF? and sometimes I have issues when publishing to both SWF and HTML, using the multiscreen.html to launch.

I'm previewing in HTML5, but your question prompted me to try previewing in the SCORM cloud - the text appeared as intended that way! When I upload to my LMS, will it look like the SCORM cloud preview or like the HTML5? I'm using a Learnexa LMS - usually export the package as HTML5 and SWF.
