Hello

I am working on a project that requires users at one point to click on 4-5 buttons to open some word documents to read or print, no problem .. the question the owner has asked me is once you have clicked the button can you make it grayed out to show that you have clicked it?

Anyone have any ideas on a way of doing that! even if the buttons remains active.

Mike

Hi there

When you click a Button and it executes the Advanced Action the playhead is released. What you need to do is to ensure your Advanced Action repositions the playhead so it is paused. Generally I use the GoToFrame variable and back it up five frames or so as part of my Advanced Action. That way it "floats" back to the pause point defined by the button.

Thanks Rick

I have the advanced actions working for my buttons, but it keeps advancing to the next section before you can click on all the buttons?

Is there a way of just allowing you to keep clicking as many times as you want?

I know I can do it when you just use "open URL or file" as you can uncheck the continue project and that allows you to click the buttons as many times as I like, but when doing it in advanced actions so I can add the checkmark image I don't see a way to do that!

I have it somewhat working except it is going to the beginning of the project after you click the button. Do you have a quick way to find the current frame number of the slide you are working on in relation to the project.

Hi Mike

You could accomplish it by using Advanced Actions. The action would be to open the related element, then hide the button and replace it with an image of a disabled (grayed out) button.
